Happy Tails Dog Club maintains a beautiful off-leash dog park inside the Lake of the Woods community. For use by Dog Club members only, the park consists of two large fenced play areas for large and small dogs, as well as a selection of agility equipment for training or extra stimulation.
This large, off-leash, fenced park offers separate fenced areas for both small (under 25 lbs.) and large dogs (over 25 lbs.) and is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. Only dog owners who are members of the Happy Tails Dog Club are eligible to take their registered dogs here.
This park is reserved for Club-Registered dogs with owners only. Open at first light (right before sunrise) to last light (right after sunset) everyday unless an email has been sent indicating otherwise.
Dog Park address is 1410 Lakeview Pkwy.
HISTORY
The Happy Tails Dog Club is a non-profit group of dog lovers that formed in June of 2017. The mission of the Club is to provide a safe and healthful environment for Club Member dogs to play and socialize with other dogs. The dog park is located at the Life Estates parcel adjacent to the small marina located off Lakeview Parkway. The recommendation for this wonderful amenity began when then Board Member Jennifer Zukowski introduced her goal to the LOW Board of Directors to identify options for the location, configuration and operation of a new dog park, which was approved in October of 2016. Thereafter, in June of 2017, the Happy Tails Dog Club was formed as a non-profit group of dog lovers in Lake of the Woods. The mission of the Club is to provide a safe and healthful environment for Club Member dogs to play and socialize with other dogs.
On June 1, 2018, the LOW Happy Tails Dog Park officially opened. It is located at the LOWA-owned Life Estates parcel (gifted from LOW Board for the specific purpose of a dog park) behind the mailboxes near the Small Marina, located off of Lakeview Parkway.
All dogs are welcome in the main section of the dog park. It is a great area for playing fetch and wrestling!
Smaller dogs (under 25 lbs) sometimes prefer having their own space.
Dogs with special needs and senior dogs may use it as well.
The Happy Trails Dog Park features agility equipment that is available for all dogs to learn to use.
We'd love to see them. Submit the photos here so we can share in our gallery.
