RULE VIOLATION Policy

The following Consequences For Happy Tails Dog Club Rules Violations was approved at the January 22, 2019 Club Meeting:


  1. First violation of any Happy Tails Dog Club Rules and dog park rules will result in a letter to the owner(s).
  2. Second violation of any Happy Tails Dog Club Rules and dog park rules will result in a second letter and a two (2) month suspension from the Happy Tails Dog Club and dog park, effective as of the date of the second notification letter.
  3. Third violation of any Happy Tails Dog Club Rules and dog park rules will result in a third letter and a one (1) year suspension from the Happy Tails Dog Club and dog park effective as of the date of the third notification letter
  4. Fourth violation of any Happy Tails Dog Club Rules and dog park rules will result in a five (5) year ban from the Happy Tails Dog Club and dog park, which penalty may be appealed before the officers of the Happy Tails Dog Club.


Gate combination will be changed after a second and subsequent violation.


The dog park rules are not being adhered to the most common ones are:

  • Not locking the gate while in the park
  • Smoking in the dog park
  • Not wearing lanyard/ID while in the park
  • Not picking up after your dog
  • Children too young to be in the park


The club will now follow this approved course of action for reported violations moving forward.

Adhering to our club and park rules in necessary to ensure the safety of our dogs and members.


One last note, it has been requested by our volunteer that empties the waste stations for us on the weekends to PLEASE TIE YOUR POOP BAGS BEFORE THROWING THEM AWAY.
